Our client suffered serious injuries as a result of a car accident where he was only 20% at fault. After he completed his treatment, his medical bills added to approximately $20,000. However, he suffered permanent, life-altering injuries.
As a result of the accident, our client suffered some spinal damage. The doctors determined that his condition cannot be cured and, therefore, did not recommend any surgery. Initial offer by the insurance company was very low, only $25,000. Moreover, the coverage limit of the responsible party was only $50,000.
After a year of litigation our lawyers were able to get $50,000 from the party at fault as compensation to our client. Additionally, we carefully studied underinsured coverage of our client’s own insurance policy and found out that he is entitled to additional $50,000 coverage through his policy. After a thorough arbitration process we were able to obtain additional $20,000 to cover any medical expenses suffered by our client and additional $25,000 as compensation for pain and sufferance.
